About Wi-Sky
We built this network because we needed it ourselves.
Wi-Sky started out of Gundagai, put up by people farming in the same country as our customers. The problem was simple and familiar: everyone in town had usable internet, and everyone outside it was stuck choosing between satellite and nothing.
Rather than wait, we started building — pole by pole, ridgeline by ridgeline. That network now runs across eight local government areas and keeps extending as word gets around.
We're not a reseller with a regional postcode. The towers are ours, the installers live here, and the phone gets answered in Gundagai.

Why not satellite
Ours is a land-based network, and that difference is the point.
Latency you don't notice
Satellite signals travel an enormous distance to orbit and back, which puts a lag on everything you click. Our network is terrestrial, so video calls, online banking, cloud accounting and gaming behave the way they should.
Not fighting for capacity
Our links to Sydney aren't subject to the congestion that the big carriers' shared services hit in the evening. The speed you buy is the speed that's there at 8pm.

Ideally, yes — a clear path between your roof and one of our poles makes connection quick and simple. If there isn't one, we can often extend the signal with an extra relay on a nearby high point, so it's still worth asking.
